Ambassador Zhang paid visit to Trinity College Dublin
2006-03-30

On March 29, Ambassador Zhang Xinsen paid a visit to Trinity College Dublin and met with Provost John Hegarty.

Ambassador thanked TCD for its efforts in taking care of the Chinese students on campus and was happy to see more exchange and cooperation between TCD and its counterparts in China. Talking about TCD's continuous support and assistance to Chinese students, Ambassador also asked the College to play an active role in advising the Irish government to seek for a solution to facilitate the employment of Chinese graduates.

Provost Hegarty welcomed Ambassdor for his visit and stated that TCD cherished very much the fruitful cooperation with its Chinese counterparts and wished to further it. Mr. Hegarty expected that the Chinese Embassy in Ireland could feedback TCD with the opinions of the Chinese students so as to improve its work in the future.

After the meeting, Ambassdor toured the College in company with the Director of International Student Affairs Mr. John Mc Partland.
